Developer Update – Github

It’s been a little while since we posted here and we wanted to give everyone an update.

We’re currently looking into a lot of new ideas for the next phase of the project. We’re keeping some under lock and key while we investigate them further, and some are just experiments to see what’s possible – one thing’s for sure, they’re all pretty cool, and we want to make it as easy as possible for everyone to get involved.

Some initial implementations of these ideas are already on the project’s github page (look for “RotationCounter” and “VirtualBros”) and are already being tested/developed.

Speaking of github, if you are a software developer/engineer/hacker/adventurer/curious, give it a go! Forks & contributions to the Push Snowboarding source code are all very welcome and we promise to give you a warm reception!

There you’ll find everything, from the circuit schematics and Arduino code for the sensors to the full application source code. If you’ve never heard of github, this about page might help.

If you don’t know where to start, check the Push Snowboarding Wiki and use the ‘issue’ system there to let us know if you run into any problems or doubts!

We’re pretty excited about all these new things we’re working on! Stay tuned, we’ll update you soon!
